Other than getting rid, how would you stop cows throwing silage onto their backs? Have one at the moment that is really bad for it, she makes a considerable mess and is wasting quite a lot of the stuff :banghead:

Also makes scraping up a PITA with a hand scraper.
we used to have one that did the same, the amount she could chuck out was unbeleivable, trouble was she was a good cow so had to put up with it for a few years, She went eventually as couldnt get her back in calf one year.

I have one, put a anti suckle ring in her nose and she stopped

Last heifer to calve (milo). Still likes to kick the units off before she's fully milked out after 8 weeks

It's not feeling very autumnal here right now. The grass is all wilting again after lunch, I think it's only the heavy dews that are keeping it green.

PDd all the cows this morning. 10% empty, not brilliant but I shortened the block from a drifting 15/16 weeks this year back to 11 weeks so if you ignore the ineligible cows then empty rate would have been near 5% with zero intervention.

If you didn't include them at the start then don't include them at end. Those are good results, you and your team deserve a pat on the back for that.

Cracking pictures too
