Annoying that they sell the ampules and when they arrive on farm have little more than 6 months shelf life.

Agreed. But then I would much rather have your incredibly low rate of mastitis than be using all the ampules.

Im more annoyed that a batch that havent been used wont do a FA visit and a DFS visit only 7 months apart. Then buy a new set in feb, dont use any and out of date for calving... just another cost. I rang and vented my anger, blamed brexit. Worried in march about a no deal so orderd plenty of stock

I acquired one off a neighbour when he gave up,never used it so threw it away,is it a super market contract thing?

Better than the samson bull calf i got yesterday.
Just finished second cut 153 round bales, only got another 75 loads to do ☹

No, nor an Ayrshire.
Wanted something to calve next summer, so ideally recently served, ended up with a freshly calved heifer.




Trouble is, she comes with a mate who is also freshly calved.
