solids have dropped from a peak of 5.57, and pr 4.1, but freshly calved, and grass
love to know how we could keep constituents at higher level, but impossible, unless we went pure jersey.

Few kgdm forage maize to help bind them in? @lazyfarmer is smashing the solids, but I'm sure that been years in the breeding

Think there is some confusion between litres, components and solids going on in the last few pages.

C16 is an interesting one. Admittedly, I haven't done the calculation for some time, but i used to find it rarely pays over sending a couple more litres and I've been on a manufacturing contact of one sort or another for a couple of decades.

Feed cost, maybe I'm getting miserable in my old age but some farmers are paid for that info and I begrudge dairyco giving it away. I wouldn't win the cheapest anyway ?.

maize, 5 days ago that finished, we have put some hay out, although we had 'finished' feeding, but this cold weather, might help a bit, Breeding, pretty well got a new herd last spring ! Hfrs to bull this spring, mainly fr, and frx, with a few jx, as well as some hienz 57's, so should be on that !
no more maize planned.
