all our y/stock, have successfully passed the TB, as swopping things around a bit, cows, the greatest risk, will be done, when all else is sorted, otherwise, a failure, would #### everything up !

So are you selling a load before you test the cows?
/biggest threat, is always the cows, so as doing a small swop around, done the,120 y/s first, as some will be sold, 59 heifers to calve march, is to many, and another 65 hfr calves, for the following spring, will 'test' this rocket market ! We have to increase our small autumn block, for our contract, y/s are least likely to hit the pocket/milk cheque. Of the hfrs, pd'd 1 group of 49, 40 +ve to 1st cycle, 3 weeks, pd the other 12, when we TB test. On the TB front, no 'lumps' at all, on the hfrs, nor cows in jan, but having been 'shut' last year, with no cultures positive, just being careful ! or sensible ?

cant we start a new fashion, in the nosey parker, townee brigade, certainly, a few accidents, might deter them !!!!! or a trend towards stripey dogs ! or, just convince them, they are highly likely to catch TB, having suffered, anything to keep the ##################################################out !

So got a few more steps in yesterday. Two more should do it then have to make do with a slope. Question is, what to do with the soil sides. Really want graded back, but then how to do the fence and cows love a rub in some soil View attachment 893465

Drainage ...... going to need some beefy drainage to stop water running down them steps & in to your shed.

Other than that, fine job (y)

It'll have to be cambered or it will be prone to collapse. Then just run a wire down each side.

If your budget is Gold Cup standard, a stone wall with daff bulbs planted in the top will look the dogs doodas.
