Depends on how thick they are, our knock it down to 4 to 6 inches planted thick and about 5 ft high and regrow fine.

Just worked out feed cost excluding grazed grass and it's about £2.10 and milk is about £7.10/day

Nearly 10p a litre feed cost is on the fairly high side you need some ho’s to sort the job out

I'm doing 17 @ 5.6 and 3.8. Which is 1.6 kgMS off 3 kg. I'm not disappointed with it but there's still plenty of room for improvement. With better management I'm sure I could be doing the same off 1.5/2kg.

We had a discussion group meeting today and the farm we were on was doing 1.6kgMS from 0.5 kg of cake.

Definitely room for improvement here.

Was just on TikTok and somebody had posted a video of them pouring vodka in the bulk tank to cover antibiotics????
Why they felt the need to record that I will never know but never have I heard of that one before.

Dont reckon it would do a lot of anything I have heard peroxacetic acid does

I can’t see vodka doing anything really would need to be fairly strong to break down antibiotics I’ve heard Certain acids do but when you see what a tiny bit in a wash line does with the trace of milk in the system I reckon if you went throwing it in the tank would just end up with a big lump off congealed mess
