But its the same old story, go to the sales, sit on your hands, and wait for the 'right ones'
I went to a herd sale on Thursday, the 2 I wanted were lots 60- and 70- something. Sat and watched and waited nearly till the end of the sale, got one but the other made silly money but by then all the tidy cows had been sold so I missed out.

Might need a separate thread, but... Best value quad/gator/similar? New or 2nd hand?

To be used for electric fencing paddocks etc.

Diesel preferred but seem rare as hen's teeth. Don't care about performance as long as reliable and runs...
We just use the scraper tractor most of the time with linkbox if I'm feeling extravagant.

Whats a normal amount of days between bulling? I know 21 days is the average but how long can that be up to? Just had 3 come bulling for the first time today that were booked to be synced next week so that's a bonus but wondering if I should leave it another week?
It's day 22 of service today

You want to serve to 28 days at least before touching them ,then save yourself so money and throw the bulls in for 6 weeks then bulls out and anything not in calf runs around to your autumn block EASY

Another week won't hurt.
