Feeding more concentrates?!?!?!What's the view, are people getting more concentrates given recent milk price rises?

Depends if your figures stack up for doing it. Everyone is different. So many variables. What's the view, are people getting more concentrates given recent milk price rises?

No, we are drying off! When we start calving in August they will get the same as usual. Our milk price will be standard + 13% for seasonality so somewhere well into the 50’s hopefully. What's the view, are people getting more concentrates given recent milk price rises?

Fed less so far this season, but had big surplus of grass, which have pretty much grazed or made silage out of, probably will increase over next week if growth doesn't catch up.What's the view, are people getting more concentrates given recent milk price rises?

edging up on concs, grass is more standing hay, than green, eating into second cut, just to extend the rotation. R//grass headed, clover, herbs and other grasses, still just about growing,View attachment 1045737
that's some r/clover/ryegrass 2nd cut, on some of our driest ground, thankfully its not all like that, but its not really good anywhere exposed, bit of sheltered ground, its all right, but can't get the cows to that. Elsewhere, by extending the rotation length, we are getting slow growth, herbs don't seem to worry about dry weather.
3 metre kuhn. What have you cut that with? A 4ft PZ?
bit to slow for me
Manna from heaven!Horrible day here today , wind and rain , feels more like November than june
