went around a set up, years ago, milk was pumped round, dispensed with a 'petrol' pump valve.
pretty neat.
the easiest, and cheaper, used to mix with a pressure washer, steam cleaner once
now have a mixer, to warm and agitate our acid milk

visited this place few years back in illinois, 600 odd hutches , had a few kubota mule with petrol pumps.

It's fine I can just use all the hot air that comes out sales reps mouths to heat the water up...
for the sake of saving the world, its your duty to stop so much hot air,
just tell them to ''''''off, or make an appointment.
whether its just us, seem to be a lot more reps cold calling. Not that is worthwhile here.

If you have the basic layout right then successful robot milking is often down to the mindset of the operator.
Totally different to 2x a day in parlour.
Often tell people the cows are much easier to train than the staff.
Which is why some robots are pulled out after 2 years & other folk love them
We have found cows adapt to changes really easily.
Fetching cows is something we hardly ever have to do. ABC grazing and smart gates is the key.
Agree that some people just can't work with robots and can make it very hard work!

Mine are all going to be on the bottles from intershape, so was going to have a trailer, fill it up every time with however many bottles needed in the kitchen, drive down there with quad, unload and then pick up all the bottles again and stick everything in the dishwasher ready for the next feed

But I'll have something like that for drinking watrr

It needs to be when you're spending every second of the day tubing calves, taking temperatures, treating them, spending thousands on vets, and 5hen the cows end up suffering because you haven't got time due to the calves, then you fall behind on paperwork, field work etc. Then when you finally get to bed but you can't actually sleep because you're upset about calf x who died and worried about calf y and how on earth you're going to pay the bills as you've spent far too much money on calves who are dead and now the cows are underperforming etc etc
