Ffs failed antibiotic even though i haven't used any. Not a clue how it failed

I had this a couple years ago, still for life of me don’t know how it happened, milk buyer never even rang to tell us,it’s only cause we seen it on the NML test results, rang milk buyer 4 days later and they weren’t overly fussed by it and said that they’d used the milk as it wasn’t to bad a failure but they Still took the money, also found it strange that they said they could tell me what antibiotic it was before it was even sent away for a more specific test, was gutted at the time as had never had one failure in 25 years

we had one couple years ago, we hadn't any a/b cows, but had bought some, owner, was adamant he hadn't used any, the a/b used, was an odd one, his vets said they had never supplied anyone with that a/b, as did ours. Passed the 10min test and was used. Also we had, or processor had, the 2nd test sample, so they sent that off for a confirmation test, they had to chase hard for a result, 'sample had gone off', couldn't test it. Stinks,
but cost us 1.5ppl for all milk that month, + an 8ppl cost, for 'disposal', even though they had used the milk.
conclusion, our insurance paid up, processor had a month of cheap milk, and NLM found a get out clause for a 'wrong' result.

Bit of an experiment, some old perm. pasture next to the buildings has been ready for reseeding for ages but never get chance to plough it out. Bulling/in calf heifers been on it (because it’s next to the race and crush) but done a final pd on them this week and got them moved to the other farm. So flail topped the thistles and rubbish grass, then direct drilled some grass seed I had left from last year, mixed a few kg’s of stubble turnip seed in too.
Will see what grows, it’s had nearly 24mm of rain since drilling.
Not sure if I should put some N on or if that will encourage the old grass too much at expense of the new seed?
how did it grow

Ask for sample to be sent off to lab to get breakdown, we had the same 4/5 years ago, came back with a variety we had never used and purchased in no stock, funny another farm on our pick up went down same night and three consecutive nights where dumped, we had a big fight but did in the end get paid & FSA were not informed.

they get cheap milk, ( or not ). Ours was used, and it cost us.
wonder what the 'legal' angle is, if they used it.

whats your Fantastic heifer calved in like?

Used a bit of him as a genomic sire and his proof quickly went from good to absolute garbage within about 6 months

Got a few to calve by him this autumn
No problems so far and we already have several Fantastic daughters from last year. Constituents good, temperament fine, yields average but last year all our yields were down due to crap silage.
