The pictures are of just the parlor part where the cows stand. There are two other trailers that go with it. One has the tank, water and wash vat. The other has generator, vacuum pump and compressor. It is the result of some poor planning by people with too much money. I'd have to get it really cheap to make it work.

Looks similar to last nights grass paddock.

Quite wet here last night and the temporary tracks are breaking down fast, but the cows have at least 6 weeks of good grazing in front of them... I can see it getting quite messy.

I think I will be setting up my little feed pad and start feeding bales if its still shite tomorrow though.

Are you still on 100% grazed forage at the moment?

Do have some land lined up?
How feasible is it. There is a few farms doing it here. But wouldn't be for a easy life. Possibly with your drier climate it could work well. iirc your climate goes from one extreme to the other through the seasons!!

Possibly have some land lined up. It can't be used as a mobile parlor, as the ones over there are. Our rules won't let you do that. I would have to pour a slab and keep it stationary.

It's feasible, but it may take me a year or more to get it going. There is no doubt it won't be a pleasant existence, it's for the young and hungry. It comes down to how cheap I get it bought, keep in mind someone paid over $ 300,000 for it.
