View attachment 603192 some positive news for a change. This old cow developed arthritis in her hip in July.,but she was 5 onths in calf so we kept her going in the field with my boys feeding her some corn every day. Last night she had this lovely Chad heifer! :)

Gorgeous looking creatures. :) Hope they do well for you!(y) I don't normally like fresians, but would definitely make an exception for these beauts :)

So, about September last year I spoke to my milk buyer about going spring calving and he said yes fine. Then last month I thought it would be better if I just checked up to see if everything was still ok and he’d completely changed his mind and said no way. We would’ve been completely spring calving next year & drying off winter 2018 but start of November we bought some heifers to milk over the winter but not sure where to go next do I serve them asap to get them as autumn calving block or do I calve in 2 blocks with a little gap in the spring? I don’t really want different groups of cows/heifers/calves.

Ye! Look very comfy, easy fix beds aswell. Proper Yorkshire boarding aswell and not just a single plank of wood! Vet was impressed because he says too many farms classify one single plank as Yorkshire boarding.
