Has anyone any advice on this graph? I vaccinate for bvd and ibr so they sit at 100% the one I’m wondering about is leptospirosis? I don’t vaccinate for it and it’s floating about currently at 50% does it mean anything I ask the vet but he just says vaccinate which I think il just do but would be good to see what people’s thoughts are

But you buy cows in don’t you? They could have been vaccinated before you bought them and altering the figures maybe?

You might not be able to get a vaccine for lepto at the minute @Thomas-milmain it’s in short supply and I think a manufacturer has stopped for now. I would vaccinate, should slightly reduce abortions if you have a problem. As far as I can understand you employees should appreciate it as it’s not a good thing to get splashed in your cup of tea whilst milking when one has a pee!! We vaccinate for all three and do them all together so no extra work

What bvd ibr and lepto together? Do bvd and lepto together ibr separately

First time cows get the start ibr and lepto and then three weeks later everything gets boosters for ibr, lepto and Bvd and wormed at the same time. Starters getting done tomorrow and booster in 3 weeks. Knock them a little but it’s only once, less handling and stress means less times milk drop due to messing them about
