I haven't got many crossbreds but it looked like they all came in the parlour together this morning.

Lovely clean cows and a lovely clean parlour. That really is a credit to you. Should be farmers like that on the tele.

Not unusual to see a Payne’s truck on recovery,he runs the biggest sheds in the industry.?

Feet are great, udders seem to be lasting well, it's just cull and calf value that they suffer on.

They still have to be miles better than a pure jersey a hereford or blue and id say youd get a saleable calf.As for cull value if cow has served you well over many years a few hundred quid at the end is not worth worrying about

My fresh calved heifers arrived together at front of parlour they were bought as calves and are 22-23mths there first irish fr cross dainish jersey .

Anyone else’s cows production just drop off a cliff? I’m guessing weather related but I’ve seen dry cows with more milk than my girls tonight. I know they’re sulking like all hell about not being out to grass which isn’t helping as they’re just watching the gate constantly

Nope,mine have done the opposite and since last saturdays collection the milk ticket has gone up every time,just over 500 litres better off this weekend than last,they were flying anyway but something just seems to have pushed them on
