Not really dairy related but me and the dog took a walk up to the castle this evening. Can see both north and south coast from here.

No, but seriously. Rain runs down the inside of the walls and out beneath the silage, falls on the silage on the floor (unless you actually sweep it up every day right to the face), and runs off the face, and sometimes off the cover onto the face etc.
Get the clamp covered make dryer silage and you won't see any !
Been enough grants around here most clamps will be covered now.

A case of selling sand to the Arabs?:D Maybe a made up brand like Tesco do here,”Rosedene,Woodside, Boswell farms” are examples.

Might buy some next time I'm in there, its was fairly pricey though.
Probably better than the basic 1kg blocks of mild Cheddar the supermarkets stock here. The fancy stuff is too expensive for everyday use.

Saw this lot in the local supermarket the other day.
Are Coombe Castle processors or do they just export other peoples product?
The label seemed a little vague.

Looks like they work with partners producing the product for them to export.

soak away, basically, we don't have effluent, no problem for 30 years, these days you should not get it. I do wonder, now his 'boss' has explained a few things, we could get away with a smaller tank, 18000 litres is a big tank, till this visit, he would have wanted to measure it !

coombe farm, is a unit out near chard, milk a lot of cows, and buy in off local farms. However, i'm pretty certain they are organic, which i can't see on the wrappers, so not a lot of help, but some !!!!
