Water is your problem,it washes past and leaves the sand/silt.

I’ve 36m of pipe in one run,been in 12 years without a problem.

So what's going in at the top. Are you on maize. My passageways would be to thick to run on their own I would have thought. Thinking alot about this going forwards. Would those concrete cast vs work with floodwash.

I’m going to cut a letter box slot in the top,like the Americans do.
Not on Maize,this is Lancashire we can’t even get grass off the fields never mind Maize.
My dry cow muck is at the far end of the shed,some days in dry weather it would stack,I still scrape it down the slats,tipping the troughs wets it up.

No,need a new lagoon 1st,only one problem I don’t own where I want to site it,yet!

My only other concern with sand is future availability,bloody environmentalists have stopped it coming off the nearest beach,it’s now coming from a good 70 miles away.

Yep, just a crush gate that doesn't marry up to the hangings. To tight to buy a gate.

was told recently, if your cows are now 'plodders', and move, only to suit themselves, it means you have their dietary needs, absolutely spot on, something, i couldn't find fault with !!!

Yep, they still run in for their kale but it's a slow plod everywhere else.

Ours are always super slow. Quite frustrating, got an 18/36 that milks like a 9/18
