Had one today - poss 6-7 month foetus - but I’m blowed if I can spot the abortee. No blood anywhere to be seen

We struggle sometimes when they have calved full term.
Wander away and calve clean as a pin.Yeah that’s what I suspected. Be very annoying if it’s a young animal
Also spent many minutes trying to assess where a cow has calved or not. Jerseys fire them out then can wander away

Is it in too big a group to rectally examine them all? If you have someone on farm who AI's, they will be able to feel an enlarged cervix. Also, there's a fair chance there will be a smell after a few daysYes ... not always accurately.
