Dont worry guys, I cut her cake back yesterday to 1kg and she came in and did 6l this morning so I've upped it again, you can all sleep easy now
Is this going to be like top trumps? If it is, she's calved too recently, putting too much in the tank and not eating enough to get anywhere in the useless stakes.View attachment 955654
One of our better conditioned cows at the minute for the competition. She is barren, 6 months calved doing 22liters from 2kg cake
Where do you see a list of top friesian heifer pli's?Got to remember as well, it's not just the milk side of things from me, her genetics are very valuable, her granddaughter is top 10 on the pli for friesians, a heifer calf from her could join her up there
Was a strange comment, but then it was 14 years agoDid they really need to say that the cows have all died since?

Ours look like calvesWe often graze feb-nov, and don't make too much mess. Seemingly after seeing some pictures its evident we are milking yearlings!!!

I was told if you cut up used cereal box and dip them in a can of paint, the cows body heat drys the paint super fast so sticks well to cows coat. Just make sure it exterior paint in case it rains.I wonder if he gets the kids to colour them back in with silver crayons?
