That just shows you don’t have enough grass!
Straight in and milked, no hanging around, first side nearly ready to go before the collecting yard gate shut. No time to brew a fresh batch 👍 although it was a bit touch and go with the last couple of sides as a couple crapped before coming in and that is normally the start of the end 😝

What brand of heavy sheeting is best for silage pits? And who best to get prices from. Do you buy one massive sheet 180ft by 45ft or lots? Anyone had luck making a igloo Shape pit for maize?

Personally having used both dont go for 1 big heavy sheets, they're nothing more than horrid in the winter, atleast with several smaller nets you can roll them up and take them down as you use them

another beef bull calf, we are running at 2/3 bulls so far and getting close to changing to calves from the dairy bull. Oh if only it levels out to 50/50 with a big glut of heifer dairy calves 🤞

It would seem 8 months ago 100 was having a love affair with 2 very different bulls! Shes looking good though, considering shes only been dry for 20 days, had twins in the cubicles and is now on her 6th lactation! Hereford heifer and a red friesian bull which I may well keep 😬

On another note look who's bulling 🥰🥰🥰
