80 September calving cows. In calf to blue. Big ol girls avalible. Want some? Big holstien sorta things mind
what you thinking ? just a few months too soon for me but with blue calves averaging £300 at 3/4 weeks out of b&w cows suppose you've got to value them at around £1500 on todays market ? averages heading towards £2k at the markets round here this last week and the promise of better milk prices towards the summer/autumn period its a tidy time to be selling cows.

To soon need to wait till positive arla seasonality then the prices will rocket

Girls came in at one oclock today and wont be going out again for a few days just belting down all day , in sunny south east of Ireland ,cant remember having to house cows before in may and been at nearly 30 years

Gone from hero to zero here as well.

Silage done and fert on in ideal conditions, slurry on in damp conditions. Smugness was an all time high.
Then the rain really kicked into gear🙈

Rightly or wrongly I spread them out in wet weather, there's a fair few stood at the gate already.
Re-housing would be on the agenda if I hadn't started dismantling their shed for refurbishment 😵

They’ll have the option of some silage and cubicles today, they went out last night, but this is the worst storm for a good long while, at least it’s not freezing.
