but l know what you mean, we have grass, grass and more grass, sheer luxury for us, but l reckon the mowers the cheaper option.

Buying mid lactation PD+ monkey cow's, definitely not £3000 cow's , unless that's for a group of cows

Build covers and graze half way through winter ,if conditions allow
No point in mowing if pits are full

It's a start but a quick look shows that Laura Kenny has 200k + followers and ahdb have 3k ( and they're all farmers)..

If she said she drank a pint of Oat juice a day it would be on billboards across the country by now.

I've been experimenting with the cows, I cut the buffer feed out and have just been grazing them, I shall be going back to buffer feeding I'm afraid, lost a litre per cow and more importantly fat dropped from 4.35% to 4%

Must be getting something good from the buffer then mine tend to drop when I feed even good silage. If you allocated extra grass don't you think you get more out of grass at less cost?

It's a much more direct way of converting your grass into cash isn it?? Tank watching is only natural though but sometimes its best to think why they dropped and maybe accept it rather than try to push them back up every time??

Aslong as he knows he’s costs on the buffer it’s probably easier to manage and keep milk in the tank as cash flows king in a start up
