The show ground are making far more money as a COVID test station, I doubt the dairy show will return anytime soon. Not that I was a fan, £12 entrance fee was excessive, to talk to people you already know!
It's on lease to the council for 3 years apparently. I doubt the show will ever return. One benefit of the kids bringing calves is they give you passes 😁😁😁
I've desperately missed the shows, it's what I grew up with and how we always spent our summer holidays.

Tidy job. What ridge do you have?
Not sure what it’s called but it’s the one where it curves up to sook the air up. Cladding seems to be the issue now but that’s not going to stop us putting the cows in. Having to put 3 phase in as power supply not enough for another shed so Iv got 200 watt flood lights and scraping passages with the Bob cat till 3 phase is installed, been one problem after another this year!!

Looking smart, we have the thick mayo mats on about 1/4 of our cubicles cows prefer them to the old mattresses. Will you use sawdust?
I think it will be an improvement on what they’ve got as if they decide to go and eat they may lose their cubicle until after the next milking! 🤣 bloody tight at the minute. Yes using sawdust,

Feel your frustration, same here, builders putting a sand channel in now, shed was clear in April. Also got to cable in 3 phase for a pump.

Is that the Condon cubicles look smart, who deals them? Get as much ducting in for 3 phase ready as possible or are you getting electrical lot to do everything.

I've had to bring all my spring calves in and treat for pneumonia, nearly had a couple die on sunday, gone bitterly cold here
no pneumonia yet, but quite noticeable they are growing their winter coat, wont be long, before in.
The last several years, been having eye trouble in the spring calves, 1 gets it, and flies through the lot, then it's catch up, treat eyes, and jab the lot, and re fly them. This year, put a fly tag in each, plus an initial dose of fly stuff, and have not had to treat anything this year, at all.

Electrician is doing it all, when they are explaining 3 phase to me and how we have to split everything up etc it just frazzles my head. I don’t know what the cubicles are called but Mayo deal them, I think they are a little bit more expensive but I think the extra expense will be worth it. 156 new beds plus the 80 current ones, I’m excited to see 156 cows lying down in the new shed, they just aren’t happy in current set up,

Am really pleased for you that you can make the investment and push forward, I think it was yourself that had all the First milk crash to cope with a few years ago.
