Anyone else struggling to get Calciject no4. Nothing local. Did get 3 bottles off Fane Valley online but they are restricting it to 3 bottles every 6 weeks !
Worlds gone mad. What's next ?

Our vets didn’t have any, I thought what is world coming to. Went to different supplier and got 6 boxes

Cows in new shed, as predicted feed passage tight but workable, must admit they are preferring the old cubicles at the minute !! They will come round dropped about 1.5 litres since Thursday when they moved in they better pick back up or I might give up

Don’t want to criticise but why not feed along outside of shed seems a waste of room the indoor feed passage

I’m open to criticism! Easier feeding, we had a central feed passage and it’s just a ball ache. Il see what my boy thinks of farming, he may build to the right, then again if he’s clever he will be getting told to get a good job

Just an optical illusion. There's a beach in behind that big rock.

I believe they're not allowed to graze that field until the end of the summer holidays in case any cows or sh!t end up on the beach.

We used a bull called Tournament a few years ago, produced lovely looking stock but been a nightmare to get back incalf with average milk yeilds, has frosty in its breeding who was also shocking fertility. Off to take four young cows now to St Merryn passport all say same sire!

I’ve pre ordered some patriot red who’s sire is tournament maybe I should have a rethink.

I'm surprised you say that! My best cow is by tournament, if I could get my hands on semen from him I would!

Maby just not suited for block calving on our systemthey had 2 services and 6 weeks with bull and all cycling.

Nothing worse not a lot you can do, it's one of the reasons I couldn't commit to a tight block

Hmm I wonder why they are short!
Put some mag in the water and a bolus down after the older ones calf much simpler and quicker if you don’t have a “special” diet for your dry cows.

Let’s make this clear, the other supplier had plenty, the vets had none. I don’t think 5/6 boxes is going to cause a nation wide shortage,
