What system please?
Cow manager 👍
I've gone to twice. We now know we were serving a lot that were only just starting. If you look for bullers you can pick them up two hours earlier than the tags. We won't serve anything that hasn't been in heat for at least 6 hours on the tag.
I think I’ll of served a lot of cows 12 hours later than I would of done with tail paint, it gives you a lot of confidence to wait when you can see all the data.

Got to use my Christmas present to myself tonight, the old on had just about had it !

Just a new handle and brush head, I've reused the saddle, so technically it's the same brush my grandfather used 30 years ago 😁

I wonder what the Queen uses her brush for, cleaning up after the corgis ?

We only hear good reviews on tech now, have they refined it that much?
@Grassman247 @Cows 'n grass have seg gates they where not happy with. What's changed?
Having been debating a lot about using technology, I can wholeheartedly be thankfull we are on RMS this week, having lost 2 staff members to illness. (Including the herdsman). Managing to milk and keep everyone alive is enough of a struggle!!

Those who are using technology on heifers., how do you identify them to serve ? Ie we tail paint so their personal ID is almost irrelevant and easy to spot but how’s this achieved with no visual aid?
This was my headscratcher this year. 80% are fairly obvious. My solution has been to still use chalk but just one line and not maintained as much. Then look for rubbed heifers and check back to cm list.
However having the data gives you confidence in the rub.
My heifers can easily be marked walking around them

That saddle was the newest part of the old brush that's for sure.

I replaced the saddle on the old brush when the old saddle rotted out, truth be told it's probably had a handle or two and a few heads but it still the same brush 😉🤣🤣🤣
Went to buy one the other day as I snapped my handle in a fit of rage (it was either going to be the handle or someone's neck 😂 ) went in to get a new one and was cheaper to buy a new brush than a new handle 🙆‍♂️
