But, cutting hedges bi annually takes twice as long as annually if you want to make a proper job.
I'm only now getting the hedges back to a decent state on dad's farm, it was always my grandads job so the last time they were trimmed was 2012 until I started doing it 3 years ago, its been a bloody battle, especially when you find a nice strand of barbed wire that's grown into the hedge and you couldn't see it 🤦‍♂️

Preparing our Cfp.
it turns out we are spending .5p a litre o n cutting the hedges on 410 acres
And .8pon professional fees( not including my solicitor) that’s consultant, accountant health and safety And RT.
no need for RT going forward as milk buyer is going to help there
Thoughts.
Please tell me more

Sure you should be spending your time elsewhere, rather than on your own place ? Quite a lot of fencing comes to mind. You cant do it all, spend your time, on what makes the money, your cows.

Today's bodge, nice set of double gates that are hung and sort of swing a bit allowing for the dry cows to be split into 2 groups, thos 20-60 days from calving and 0-20 days
Tomorrow's job clean out calving pens and calves house before the new arrivals start popping out imminently!
