Regarding grass covers/quality how many litres is everyone doing from grazed grass at the moment? Not managed to get to 25l from it this year rightly or wrongly prefer grazing “stronger” covers typically 3200 which on our late perennials seems to be where the 3 leaf stage is at. Currently 26/7 litres on 3kg so 20/21 from grass mostly autumn calved some spring might hit 28/day again when the sun comes out!

Thanks for all the advice, still not sure what the best thing to do regarding levels of milk is because half the advice is carry on, the other half is cut it back!

On the plus side I think I might have saves the first calf that's has gone down with it! Crypto 12: me 1

And in more exciting news, guess who's calving!?

I’d try 2l am and pm and build them up slowly for the next 10 calves or so then reassess. You’ve nothing to lose.

26/7 here @4.6/3.6. Well before and after my failed experiment 🙈.
Feeding 4kg of 18% tho.
Starting 2nd round now so components may not be as strong in a day or 2
