We also use a "crow sheet" (heavy gauge net) over the top of the pit, extra weight may help. And if you can, open it the opposite end to the on-coming prevailing wind.

We use the secure cover and side walls touching together, we just get a lot of wind. The picture of a few gravel bags chucked on a secure cover make me laugh as the whole thing would be off if it was here.

Can someone charge interest on an incorrect invoice (unpaid due to it being wrong)
Now on my fourth invoice from them and still wrong but are trying to charge me £200 of interest (10%) on it

Yes this is the relief milker still

Oh and he's lost another relief milking job since me under similar circumstances to how I was treated
Work out what days you did and what days he did with proof of that and then the days what are left you’ll have to bite the bullet and pay him for them aswell
Then go to your solicitor and get them to write a letter explaining this is the days he milked and you’ve got proof of that and insert the cheque for that amount
I doubt he’ll be back
When I said before about making life easier by sorting problems before they occur ,this is one of them .a diary in the farm office with your name on the days you milked and the days he milked/turned up and you wouldn’t have had these issues

For those who run multiple angus/hereford bulls at breeding, how do you get on with the named sire scheme?

Not put named sires? Put multiple sires on passport? How many can you put?

4 Herefords raring to go...

we buy a ink stamp, takes 4 ear numbers if you want, then just stamp the p/port.
bought a calf, with a sheet of 6 ear numbers attached.

Box is due anytime, we’re just wondering if we are brave enough to pull the side sheets out, fairly breezy 😬

clearing better than ours, grass is just growing to quickly. Took a big chunk out the platform, and made into silage, left the 'last' paddocks we grazed, to keep us going, just grows and grows. But, they say, eat a third, leave a third and trample a third, we shall see if that works, although we do leave longer residuals, the best results, if we dry out.

Try telling that to the insecure covers reps and they will just tell you that no, your wrong !!!! :scratchhead:
