My neighbour has more to put in yet and talking to my contractor it's not unusual for them to drill it in June after potatoes.
I've seen it go in first week of July not too far away from me and it did OK
Contractor reckons that stuff drilled now will catch up with the earliest drilled stuff
I'm not too worried and even if I wad there's bugger all I can do about it! In an ideal world I would have liked it in a fortnight ago really bit it is what it is

15 acres in 5 hours here would mean the forager would be better value
For the case of discussion, i’ll try and find out. Nobody was counting properly, but the first 12 acre field would yield at least 10 loads, straumann 3601 box.

In a crop like that we wouldn’t cope on the pit (well not in a manner that I’d be happy with) with a chopper and a 0.25 mile lead.

The other thing is (and it might be different with you) but down here right now, you do as the contractor says not as you want, at the moment you're considered lucky if you can get a contractor as they're all flat out
