The strange thing is when I first saw this thread I thought or at least I assumed Robin2020 was having some of his ground sort of stolen or something.

The way I've read on here that some house owners unofficially expand their gardens.

It's seems their crime is not asking their neighbour what they can do on their own land, also I can't help wondering if it was owned by 5 men wouldn't he have just said "my neighbours" rather than 5 women, maybe just as he sees it or ?????

Suit yourself but for me reporting a neighbour would be an absolute no, unless their activities were encroaching on my ground and even then having a chat would be my first response.

Don't forget reporting people is a two way game and I hope you're sheep are always perfect, (RSPCA) your old Mill restoration never breaches planning or burns easily !!!

Wars are easy to start but hard to stop sometimes, I've watched plenty TV programs where things get very quickly out of hand.

I get on with all my neighbours which is the best way if you can manage it.

Try to be as you've been advised the friendly helpful neighbour, that way I suspect your concerns will more likely be well received.

I suppose if that fails your can start a war later if you must.

I took the first sentence of the OP to be unnecessarily focused on their gender. But you're right, no need to get upset about it. Apologies, must be my time of the month.
I must admit I thought it seemed an odd way to describe your neighbours also, so your not alone either.

It's hardly surprising anyone might draw conclusions when you see how our Nicola and other female MPs are treated.

It's how they look what they wear, their sexuallity and that's just on here without the death threats and worse on normal social media.

I'm not even an SNP supporter but find her treatment on here a bit out of order.

Especially when BoJo can be a dispicaple worthless liar towards his ex wifes when married but he's a top bloke for some on here.

Our farm only works due to the dedication of women. The men are, generally, useless.

Oh, good, no longer being defined by their gender, progress (y) .
As for the rest of your post, keep digging :) .

My mill is still a ruin after 3 years 🙈...
so it's still pretty. No money or time....but trying.
A good read is your post. Interesting seeing the different views on here. Funny that my post has resulted in them getting a donation 😄.
I predict delilah will be sending them a poly tunnel next 😉. She likes me really.

I think the crux of the issue really is - You dont like the appearance of what theyre doing - and would like to have a say over their land use - I think for alot of us who have been immersed in land our lives - this is such an affront to our rights to farm the land, that someone (usually a blow in (l)ondener on the parish council) thinks they know better, that It really gets under the skin,
Do you know better? Is your taste better? and should, in a moral society, you have the right to prevent someone else doing something on their land when it does not actually cause any harm to you - and no matter your opinion - a plastic sheet on a field that isn't yours, has no effect on you.

To me, it brings back memories of starting out on 10 acres, having lots of rich people buying up 30 for horses and the goodlife and moaning about my poly tunnels for lambing, my (admittedly) steptoe yard, and all that, and in realillty their fancy pony sheds and range rovers were equally offensive to my eyes, even more so as They told me what to do on my land, I did not tell them what to do..... (until i did and got rid of em).

Personally my advice is better the devil you know, go make friends, drink tea and help them. Experience tells me that what comes after is 4 separate horse people and a bigger mess.

I was being ironic - He was being critical and dismissive of someone else's use of their land, and he was defining them, so I turned it on him, by arbitrarily decreeing my opinion as the law, as King Cox.
Ahh, I think your taking the pee doing such a thing
