Ally max rainfastness

Got caught out spraying this morning when the rain came an hour early. I was spraying spring wheat with Ally Max SX, hurler (fluroxypyr) and some trace elements. Obviously the Ally was the main product I was worried about. Officially rainfastness is 2 hours.
The leaves were dry and the sun was out with wind getting up but one small field had only been finished 15 mins and the previous field about 40 mins when a sharp shower of 1mm fell and about another half hour later there was 4mm heavy rain in a thunderstorm before the leaves had dried from the first shower.
What is anyone’s thoughts on whether it will work? Weeds are small and rate was around 30g/ha ally max.

It's a pity you hadn't said 20g applied, you could then have put another 10g on just in case...
If it went on a dry leaf and dried on, it ought to be fine. If the weeds were sopping wet in the base of a lush crop, less so.

Ally max is 42g/ha full rate, so I could still put another 12 if I wanted to. Just hoping it’s not needed

Happened to me a few years back. Thunder storm just as I was 100 yds from finishing field. Absolutely poured down. Ally plus partner product (can't remember which one).

Worked well enough to kill weeds and crop to be dominant.

I'd leave it be.

The default is always to not repeat the treatment. It's surprising how these treatments still work in these situations. If it's dry on the leaf it will take a shower (i.e. minutes rather than hours of rain).

Very similar thing happened to me after a contractor sprayed a customers maize. Literally rained not minutes after he left the field. It still worked and I would be yours does also. The hurler in combination with ally will be pretty potent especially on small weeds- they will have had a dose that will give them something to chew on whilst the crop carries on growing.

As a side comment - BASF are saying that Revystar will have 81% performance on Septoria, and 76% when 6.5mm/hour rain was simulated 15 minutes after application. https://www.agricentre.basf.co.uk/Documents/Revyweather/REVYWEATHER-INFO-RAIN.pdf

So broadly, if applying to a dry leaf it should be fine. I would guess that if you were applying to an already wet leaf, eg in a dewy morning, that it would take longer to get into the plant.
