Deciding on whether to C max my linseed first or whether to carry out BLW control first. Any thoughts? Started to take off last week , now a good 2-3inches tall. As ever crop struggles but weeds continue to grow.
As an aside @They see me rolling have you ever done a trial with bifnox on linseed?
As that has an EAMU for OSR which is an oilseed (and therefore makes it more likely to be approved?) I'm sure you have. Not sure what made me think of it.

Not going to look at my linseed for a couple of weeks , it will be gone by then and I will be able to forget about it

I would do whichever weed is bigger, if the BLW are in 2 weeks going to be too big for the herbicide than I would prioritize that and vice versa.
Bifenox will nuke the linseed, someone applied it in winter linseed and it toasted everything as well as the linseed. The poppies recovered faster than the linseed and then were able to outcompete the damaged crop.

Thank you, most helpful. Please forgive my curiosity- how can there be an eamu for for fox on osr when it's only approved for cereals? Because i believe you said that was the problem with getting another eamu for chekkar? Apologies if i'm wrong.

That is a good question. It could be because OSR is worth spending the money on for EAMUs, compared to Linseed the area is much greater and therefore might be worth spending the money generating seed residues, MRLs etc. It could also be it is a historic EAMU, the rules tightened with Annex 2, but before EAMUs where allowed from a wider range of crops. The change in the rules is a bit before I started working on EAMUs but this is my understanding and certainly was the case when trying to get Chekker back. Basically it all depends if it is worth the investment to generate oilseed residue values for, which you can imagine is not a cheap exercise. If oilseed data exists for a crop that is currently approved on a cereal crop then we can use that to get an EAMU, but if it doesn't exist then there is no hope for an EAMU.

We have had less rain than most of you 70% is nearly 6inches tall, 10% just emerging and 20% not come. Never seen flea beetles sitting on such tall crops. Sprayed twice. Won’t do it again. Due c max ASAP then BLW. What are others thinking re blw? No pre em here so was thinking eagle and a whiff of shield to help with fat hen and bindweed.
