Amazone depth limiters on discs

As pics,are these worn up.took several of earlier in week as they were filling with soil between disc and rubber depth limiter,and then disc would not turn.does anyone run without them.can’t imagine it does any harm.help

I took them off 2 years ago in wet going, never been back on and never been an issue.

Mine are lying in the workshop. Rotec plus discs so bigger than yours. Not been a problem without them.

Don’t use them here with rotec plus discs
main thing is furrow opener and disc match up

Yes I’d say they are quite worn, I found that the disk wears thin where the plastic runs on it. I could never get away with taking them off when it’s wet as the disk would stop turning.

Do you change the openers and discs together? I normally use a few sets of openers to one set of disc.

Always thought opener would stick below disc

Change openers when worn through. Discs maybe do 4 sets of openers. I agree that the openers end up doing most of the work.
