We have an early ish ZA-M that leaks fert on the floor after standing for a while. Im guessing it's the shutter rams at fault? Have people come across this before?
Thanks

Age old problem or used to be on our Massey , might be something to do with open centre hydraulics , get a shut off value in the hyd pipe line so you shut it off when you shut the shutters by leaning out the cab

Our old one used to do it. It used to be single acting with spring to open so this was always pulling it open our new one is double acting and is no bother

Ours used to do it on old MF. Shut off valves don't always cute it either as the Rams are so small a little oil leaking past the seal inside the ram also causes the problem as well as the tractor spools leaking

there is a simple ball valve on the end of hose of mine. it basically locks oil in the pipe and prevents from opening. Once I had a privilege founding a pile of fertilizer near the spreader next morning :D
