Amazone ZAV

Interested to know other peoples experience,

Got a zats with the mechanical 8 section control running isobus section control from the tractor.

My crops are a mess, the spread pattern is so far behind the tractor that when you turn a corner with it spreading the feet goes through the hedge behind you and worst of all leaves a yellow patch on the inside of the corner which the feet never gets, when you are in the middle running into the headland unless you drive halfway through the hedge on 24m tramlines you get a yellow patch where you run in.
On the way out it'
Set to not turn on until 30m past the mark, which we tray tested to prove was correct, how to I get 30m past the mark on the way in?

Had a Krm for 17yrs which could only be on or off, never had a problem, have 25 grand in technology now and I'm worse off

If it’s anything like a KV Geospread you can alter the on/odd points ( you can’t on a Kuhn) I used to have a and b set around 8-9metres.

We’ve a Zam hydro profis and suffer yellow on the ins think I’ve gone from 12m down to 3m and still have a problem.

Feathering triangles and widths less than 24m the section control works perfect.

But I could do my ins and outs better with our old Kuhn twin hydraulic shutoff, progress!

Not got 1 myself I do know someone with a hydraulic driven ZA TS he says you have to play with the distances a fair bit to get it right

I've no idea how the kv does it but you can leave it set at 1 distance and it's near perfect I could never get it right with my Kuhn switching it off and on manually always got light and dark in and outs but it works a treat on kv geo spread

That with gps switch be interesting to see if they’ve altered it.

Am I the only person on TFF running a basic non weigh cell, non variable rate spreader these days?
Loads of threads about them but also seem to bring loads of problems.
What is the biggest benefits everyone is seeing from them? Is it variable rate prilled lime to even up fields and yields?
Can't help but feel it is over complicating a very straightforward job but then I'm probably a what you don't know you don't miss kind of guy.
No I can’t stand anything with a screen and I’m only 23 got a Kuhn 12 metre and manage fine

Interested in others opinions. We have zav hydro, so on headland all that can be changed is disc speed and amount spread. I don’t think this results in a satisfactory headland pattern. The amount should not decrease as you still want the same amount of fert on headland bout. The Amazone controller is set to reduce the headland amount, we have changed this back to full rate. However if the only other thing that changes is disc speed ie reduces then the spread pattern will just compress into shorter distance but still have the same profile. This means that there will still be hardly any fert on edge of headland and too much by tramline. Am I correct? I think this is a bit of a fudge by Amazone and if drop off point is not altered it should still have a border limiter.
I’m guessing @Matty.t7 your pto version will definitely have a border limiter?
