Ampertain Majestic

Anyone used ampertain Majestic before? Wanting to know what his calving ease is like and how they shape up, thinking of using on some heifers?

Haven't used him yet but his sons seem to be topping every sale over here from different breeders. Doesn't carry a lot of ampertaine breeding and possibly a bit more stretchy

Right o thankyou! It's a toss up between him and jockey, but I'm not sure if jockey is old news now...

I've used Ampertaine Metric and he is a very easy calving bull, I haven't had to pull one.

I think for all the good Jockey did with his sons, his daughter's wrecked the Dyfri herd

I had an ampertaine m bull was very easy calved on heifers and cows hardly ever needed help. At 2 year old they are plain looking offspring.
Depends on what you want but am happy to jack a proportion if offspring are better.

The calves from him are excellent, some of the best I've had. I used him because he is very easy calving and the 200 day milk is good, so I can breed some replacements. Last year he threw nearly all bull calves, but this year I've got some heifers out of my Stabiliser cows, so I'll save those.
