AMTEC REGENERATIVE FARMING SURVEY

The farming landscape is changing and at AMTEC we want to gain some insight into how the farmers of Britain are reacting to those changes.

Will the traditional farming methods be gone forever? Would our ancestors recognise the farms we run today? Or will the original farming methods stand the test of time?

Please take a moment to answer the below questions and help us get an understanding of the future of farming in Great Britain.

Complete Survey

In this questionnaire, we will be gathering opinions from you on regenerative farming, and how important you think it is for the future, how compatible it is with your farming setup, and how involved you may or may not already be with the process.

We’d like to thank you in advance for your time. The results of this data collection will be compiled and shared so you can see what other farmers around the country think of the movement. Your individual responses will remain anonymous. Responses will be grouped by postcode/county.

Your survey is flawed
firstly it doesn’t say if it’s acres or Ha when asking farm size . It just wants a number ?
Then you ask about regen ag and the SFI . The first two tiers don't differentiate between establishment method , which I guess is the crux of your survey being as you sell machinery .

Had a go but got stuck after giving my age away.
Do you use regenerative/sustainable farming techniques on your farm?
Don't know. Need a definition really. Sorry.
I’d agree with this . What is sustainable
I know what’s sustainable on my farm and keeps me in business .
my stubble turnips and OSR have been established with virtually no till, but the big paying crops of roots and maize required a plough .

Have just been having a read of their website. Leaving crop establishment techniques to one side for a minute, they are peddling the lie that cows are destroying the planet, presumably in the hope of selling 'solutions'.

Muppets.
Just started to had a read of that, raised my blood pressure and gave up at the bit where they were saying dairy farming is far worst than aviation and transport, ain’t seen anything in the aviation or transport industries sequester carbon !

Who are these amtec muppets, they’re obviously no friends of farmers.

They were Ellis farm machinery , until a re badge last year.
Ive dealt with them in the past, but this seems ridiculous .

A right, a very well respected company then.......or at least were.
It seems nothing short of ridiculous a company who make a living out of farmers peddling stories of certain sectors of agriculture being worse than aviation, in their rush to jump on a bandwagon they haven’t been very discerning which bandwagon they’ve jumped on !

Dairy farming is responsible for 3.4% of greenhouse gas emissions according to the 'bbc'!!!
Very disappointed in you AMTEC, are you going to scrap all your ploughs to help with this then?

And I think I’m right in saying that figure takes no account of sequestration from growing crops, it’s a bit like trying to work out my profit by adding up all money incoming but taking no account of money spent

I’d say they are trying to judge the genuine amount of movement towards regen agriculture before trying to become the go-to people (aka corner the market) in second hand kit. Give all my business details to judge the likelihood of me purchasing machinery? - no thanks

Your website piece on dairy farming is so behind the science it's embarrassing. Christ Alive, how you can even think about using the BBC, of all sources, for info regarding dairying and climate change impacts is beyond most on here. Offensive. You need to find someone better than the clown that wrote that webpage. Whoever replaces them needs to first of all educate themselves as to the true impact of methane, using GWP* as the best available metric and go from there.

Given the naivity on display here I shall decline the invitation to take part in your survey.

I see Mr @AMTEC | Ellis Machinery posted his OP at 4.45pm. Probably his last job in the office before he jumped into his Tesla and went home for the evening.

I'm guessing he might have a bit of a surprise when he fires up his laptop*/tablet*/smart phone* when he gets back into the office in the morning

*delete where appropriate.

I look forward to reading his reactions and how he tries to defend his woefully inaccurate blurb on his website.
