A small ferguson, simple to work on, excellent parts availability and knowledge available.

A 4 cylinder 23C engine may put him off for life, as they are 1 of the most complex and delicate engines to get to start, so not a good idea really

Just came across this…. Fitting a pto could be a long term project? Shuttle gearbox Ford 4000 industrial but running and £1400.

plenty to tidy up by the look of it but wet brakes, hydraulics,

It would need a back end from a standard one really as that one most probably will have a single shaft back end? No live drive? Just guessing

I’m quite tempted myself for £1400 but don’t have room otherwise I would have taken a trip to see it ideal for road runs, scraping, maybe a bit of trailer towing

It’s a cheap Ford that’s for sure, it’s at David Brown money
Milky oil means it needs some attention and Tidy ones are more than double so potential for some reward for the hard work is possible and possible to trade up to a more usable machine if he shows real interest also depending on age get a v5 insure in his name and build some history
