And the curtain falls

A new chapter in this miserable car crash of British political history to begin.
I'm wandering how anyone in the government can get this Brexit process done with the numbers in the Commons. Whoever wants to be PM must be crazy or stupid or probably both.
It looks like the most likely scenario is that the EU chuck us out in October like Macron wants.

Nothing will move until there is either a GE or a second referendum. Unless the EU makes the UK's mind up for it, but that's unlikely due to the GFA as they will not want to be seen as the party that breaks it.:scratchhead:

I am always looking for positives and the one I can find for Farage - by comparison, he actually makes Le Penn look plausible
Le Pen has softened herself a lot by now saying stay in the Euro and the EU and change it from the inside. It makes her far more electable - Unfortunately .
Still don't think she can win a national election though.
Sundays result will be interesting.

What the euro result will show is the strength of feeling among voters, if the brexit party do very well as expected there will be no election before October, many sitting mps will look at their local results and sit on their hands and let the new leader wind the clock down to no deal, they won't vote for a 'GE

Listening to ken clarke today you really get to understand that mp's still do not get what the country wants, they are so far removed from the truth and the common man its scary. Bash farage all you want but the british public voted leave and the british public will have voted the brexit party mp's in as MEP's in huge numbers. Farage will be pm if the conservatives f##k up electing there next leader. Boris can win a general election if he gets the job because large swathes of the british public like him, just like farage.

What does the country want? I’m not sure anyone really knows that which is why there is such a mess. Similarly to what happened in parliament, I very much doubt a majority of the public would support a no deal Brexit. I doubt they would have supported Theresa may’s deal. But I would say there is a good chance the public would now back remaining.

Dream on, the british public voted out 3 yrs ago, the british public will vote brexit party mp's into the eu in huge numbers come sundays results. Huge swell for just leaving now and moving on. Democracy will now deliver for leave voters.

Ken Clarke was on Radio 4 this morning .. first thing the BBC did was pushing the agenda of the EU, Socialism and the Left .. he was playing hard and fast with the truth.

Totally avoided the Climate Change taxes and lack of action on Steel Tariffs that destroyed the UK Steel Industry.

Ken Clarke is a prime example of everything wrong in UK politics.

Well if the opinion polls were correct and the brexit party and UKIP get more than 50 % of the euro vote then IMVHO that shows that more want to leave than before. I don't know one person who says they would now vote to remain but do know quite a few who would not change from remain to leave. I know that doesn't represent the whole country but we will have a good idea on Sunday/ monday
