Who have they taken on now?

Don’t get the yellow peril very often, can you post a picture of the letter. 👍
Sorry you might need to squint a bit, time to have a tidy up and while your at it blow the whistle on your untidy neighbour 🤫

He's just towing the party line. His NFU then NGO/RT career won't go far if he breaks ranks and agrees with us!

It's no wonder farmers can never work together on anything for the common good and benefit of all.....there is are always some who decide feathering their own nest at the expense of others is the best approach.

Same logic applies to UK farming co-operatives.

Colin Ferguson is talking rot.

Firstly a tidy farm is down to the owner, not the inspector. There are loads of messy assured farms
Secondly agriculture is not "supported" by various standard setting bodies. Agriculture supports them

WE don't NEED assurance schemes.
I bet his handwriting is real neat too!

This may describe certain people better than I can. Perhaps they should be supported this way:

This is something that really annoys me, for my virtual dairy inspection I had to take a photo of my farm entrance to see if it’s suitable.

I have my arable inspection in a few weeks. Alongside my grain store is an small old wooden framed shed, it has collapsed and my landlords agent has ideas of selling the slate roof. It does not look nice in any way BUT I have no control over it. I don’t have any issue with my landlord over the matter but what happens if I am told it’s not tidy enough. It’s not the place of Red tractor to start an unnecessary discussion between tenant and landlord

So has he been removed from RT board yet? Anybody know.
Sadly the silence is deafening. If a board member of a publicly listed company (with the collusion of the chairman!) had called its customers “backstabbers” then there would be uproar quite rightly and they would both resign or be sacked. Not many of them would keep their job writing in the trade rag either. Absolute utter disgrace.

Well what red tractor is doing is illegal anyway so it won’t be around much longer so he’ll be out of that job anyway.

do i read that as a desire for a “grass up your neighbour scheme “ ?

did someone mention backstabbing !

we do not need assurance, our buyers do not need assurance as demonstrated by their acceptance of imports with no farm level assurance

we need world beating food safety, employment, environmental and animal welfare standards set by law and policed by the law …………… which we have

In a public listed company this sort of behaviour is generally referred to as doing a "Ratner" after the infamous case of Gerald Ratner the jeweller bringing his company down after describing their products as "total crap"

Problem is with the likes of RT and NFU it’s a shut up shop all protected by the gravy train it rides. All they are interested in is money and furthering their own careers at the expense of their members.

Without members these things don’t exist so instead of ripping their members off they should be thanking them for the annual membership fees and acting in their best interests, not in the interests of the gravy train.
