Android tablet farm software

Is there farm software that runs on an Android tablet?

I have used shearwell data software for the cattle, flock, field and medicine records for years.

However my PC is getting long in the tooth to say the least, and all the other farm software runs on my phone.

So can I do away with a computer in the office, or isn't there an app for it yet?

Not much use right now... but we will have our application on Android by the end of this year. :)
Do you have a preview / product design spec that lets us know what it'll do?

Alternatively, will you be copying the functionality of shearwell meaning that it'll do everything anyone could think of needing done?

It will do exactly what our Apple iLivestock app can do and look about the same. The functionality of our iLivestock application is rather large but in short it's a full compliance & management application for Cattle & Sheep. We've also just launched our fully integrated weighing hardware :).

Take a look at the our website/eWeigh link below.

We don't copy... ;)

Shearwell doesn't though. Ive been using it for 5 or 6 years and they haven't made much/any improvements. I'm looking to move away from it.

Why doesn't it link to scotmoves? Other livestock programmes do. You've to input movements twice. Doesn't link to beef efficiency scheme either. Should be able to enter calf and calving details when registering calf on handheld.

It should be cloudbased. The glgm software i use for arable part of business is streets ahead.

@DrDunc if you have FarmWorks have you not tried FarmWorks Mobile. Very useful for the odd treatment or registering a death there and then. Very good interface and shows where their software is heading.

I’m not convinced about using a phone for a days sheep work unless you get a rugged one and who wants to carry that around all the time.Broke the screen on mine whilst trying to record a treatment:banghead:
Hopefully others will come on and tell us different

Edit sorry just realised you wanted cloud based so not much help

I heard about something like this from my father when he was farming, but I don’t remember what kind of application it was. But I remember exactly that it was paid and cost about 15 bucks and my father was even angry, because 15 bucks is too much for the application. But don’t worry, because Google has announced a new feature thanks to which you can get any paid application for free. This is really very cool and when I found out about it I was very happy. You can read more about this at yourmoneygeek.com.
