Rest assured that there is nothing you can do as an individual or we can do as a country that will have any effect on the world commodity price. You can make and sell something that’s better than a commodity, but that involves a whole lot of effort in itself, and many farmers are uncomfortable with the transition from producer to value added salesman.

I agree, but I'm not trying to influence the world price. I'm only doing what I think is best for me and my farm.

You can look at this many ways and the answer is still the same. Bps money has an effect on the end value of whatever it is you produce. Apart from the more intensive farms pig, poultry etc

Yes I’ve told a few that before but it didn’t go down very well I agree totally. Banks do see those type of units as being a bit more resilient after bps than the rest of us but good point.
