Plenty good used ones about!
How much fertiliser will you apply with that spreader by the time you change it?At four times what I paid for my poverty spec it’s unlikely.if I had lots of land it maybe different but I don’t.
Nick...
I agree it is a very over simplified argument. How quickly people do notice can be a big variable though. If you don't have an accurate area meter, working out the rate you have been applying at is easier said than done. Judging how much is left in a spreader by eye when you leave the field or how much of a field is left when the hopper is empty is going to be a bit hit and miss at best. GPS certainly helps with this.I dont buy this percentage waste saving argument at all, it pre supposed that you do not rectify the problem when you discover it. I wouldnt carry on into the second field if I knew the first had over applied 10%.
The tonnage used argument is no more than an attempt at justification for the utterly ridiculous prices asked for this kit. I mean ffs, approaching £20k for a hopper, 3 generic gearboxes and a couple of strain gauges.
Yes but it’s identical to the other one.waiting to hear what krm say.i know the area of all my fields via gps and there are 100kg mark increments in base of hopper so easy to see what’s left in.Did the dealer not start you off nick?
Fraser its not rocket science is it , new spreader you set it ,put one bag in go do a little field or a know area , if your 10% out cut it back ,if not enough open it up , correct difference sencond time over ,If two products are flowing faster than the charts then seems like spinner is opening more than normal, how much difference is there between your 30 second calibration and what the charts say.

Like others say ,opener rods might not be right , ask krm to bring their setting tools ,
Who tray tests spreaders too to make sure your spreading even , too.
