I often wonder if the people who are polled and eventually cast there vote have a problem actually envisaging the future , and in some strange way cant put their reality and a promise of Utopia from a politician in to separate catagories It's almost as if they are living out a fantasy or they are directing a film, when in fact it's there own lives they are messing with

There's only one lot looking for their version of utopia.
They are now getting their arses kicked by the rest of us who dont want any more of their shite

Yup, it's a dangerous new world. Folk living their lives as though they are still on the play station :nailbiting:

It is uk affairs though isn't it?
If Le Pen wins, it must be the end of the eu which makes the situation for the uk leaving a whole lot less complicated I would have thought?

It will be a watch the NHS collapse. There is due to be a parliamentary debate about the impact of hundreds of thousands pensioners returning to the UK for health care this week. I wonder what Jeremy Hunt's solution to that will be, euthanasia at the channel ports.

Yes, an interesting cocktail with half the nhs workers returning to their own country, regarding their future in the uk too uncertain. (I already know of a couple)

Not the case the French will then get to vote on the Euro maybe the EU at the same time.
So it's in the hands of the French voters.

There's always the possibity that the EU presidents may change to keep the French in. But then I thought that with the U.K.

I have never been polled about anything in all my 60 plus years. I suppose that I have always been too busy working. Anyone else the same?

Is it a bit too cruel to think that many who are interviewed on the street are likely to be out of work or pensioners who rely on the government to give them handouts. Surely this will skew the results of any survey and probably is the reason why the polls have been so wildly wrong of late.

The eu can survive without the uk. It would probably survive without France if the uk wasnt leaving but it can't survive without both (or of course without Germany) , so,you may be correct. I still think a Le Pen victory would be the end of the eu but a LP victory is hopefully very unlikely.
Cricky, the head to head polls, given a sinario LP - Fillon, give a clear Fillon victory, even now.

Is that the same sort of poll that had us remain and Hilary Clinton as president

Went to a Wedding near Louhans last September, about level with Geneva, many at the ceremony were for Marine and have just come back from Chatel in the Alps, same latitude and every conversation on the chairlift was pro Marine.

I havnt met a single one but do accept I don't live in a militant type area

I think it's more to do with the British press getting over excited about it in the wake of Brexit and Trump. The FN have been this position a number of times before but can never get the popular vote. Jean-Marie Le Pen had in fact to stand down when he got though to the second round in 2002 due to the level of hostility toward the FN.

Hi there i ve been doing some research work and studies, it does not work like that, not official results. Exactly for the reasons you mentioned, the sample of population has to be representative, when statistical data is given they have to explain where and how they got it. Best practice is to always find the original researchwork, and be careful of news outlets reproductions or interpretations. (y)

surly the only way to get an accurate poll is to ask everyone that will vote :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: and even that would not work, someone asks how you are going to vote you can say what you bloody like but that don't mean to say that's what you will do
