Another mini economic boom....

As in the run up to the 29th of March can we now expect an economic boom whilst essential industries do their bit and re-stockpile raw materials ?

Great business for warehousing owners - again.

And then another slow down as halloween is passed ?

Probably try and source/stockpile as much cheap foreign stuff in the run up to oct31st before it gets dearer after. Atleast we only have 3 more months of low beef prices, some light at the end of the tunnel now.

Probably no worse than the German economic outlook...... it’s all relative.

EU is getting ready to print a ton of money......again.........if not in recession must be very close to it, negative interest rates.
German economy is in severe decline, with new leadership Britain has a real chance to move away from the European model.

Not meant to be a flippant comment at all but the Belted Galloway beef cattle mostly on the eastern Seaboard, do they survive mostly because they are kept by lifestylers and the beef sold at a premium direct ? I'm just sat here thinking despite promises to the contrary we are about to get deluged with cheap beef from feedlots in the Americas various and I wondered how your own grass fed cattle keepers coped / felt about things ?

So a flood of hormone treated low welfare un-assured USA feedlot beef will help raise farmgate prices here in UK ?

I just know you have never taken a tour of a modern feedlot, if you had you would never make such a outrageous statement.
"low welfare" what a joke, Vets' on site 24 /7, pen riders whose only job is to ride on horseback thru the pens' checking and checking again..........loss rates that are a fraction of 1%

You should check it out and then repeat your statement.

Are we going to have to do the same. Cost me a fortune last time they printed money.

Hi JP, ...........I am several miles from the East coast so cannot comment directly.
My location has a huge amount of cattle (and sheep) ranching, cow/calf operations', what you would call suckler herd, these are traditional breeds' the vast majority being Angus but a few Lim / Chara, .......Hereford still has a foothold, and once in a while a few belted Galloways'
Climate is the decider when it comes to which breed to go for and the Angus can deal with the heat and the cold, is a good converter of forage in a ranched system, easy calving, good mothers etc.
Angus beef is marketed as such and is the gold standard.

In the UK Continental breeds dominate but the eating experience can be .............whats' the way to say it...............variable.!
Stick with the English traditional breeds, it may not be fashionable, but cater to the buyers who appreciate quality.
Good luck.

And is that supposed to make it OK? We can bugger the Germans up as well as ourselves.:scratchhead:

Far from it but in a brexit situation/discussion I think it’s only fair to compare our economic predictions to that of the stronger economies within the eurozone. You’re only pick and choosing stats that suit make brexit look bleak when the rest of the eu looks just as bleak if not more.

Please show me the economic forecasts that predict the benefits of Brexit.
