Another phone message scam.

I dare say that the phone calls from 'your bank' saying that there has been suspicious withdrawls on your account.
Especially with SFP payments !

The one I had from a very well spoken Englishman (sounded anyway) last year . He said he was from Barclays so I told him to fuppoff as we dont bank with em

I never answer it now, it is practically always someone telling you big fat lies or trying to get you to phone back and run up a bill. It is a sad end to the phone line after all the use it has been.
Of course, if you live in a no signal area, there is no option but to answer it. I have a half way house in letting it go to the answering machine first. Unfortunately Mrs Y doesn't believe in answering machines.

The thing is , I tend to act more like a sentry dog on my phone/s , where I ask in a slightly sarcastic one 'And what can I do for you ?' , then tell them to do one !
It is very satisfying when that chap from a ship somewhere in creation , wants to discuss your broadband or your computer , as they do , but NOT when the TB tester rings to tell you that hes finished his first farm and is on his way for your read !! (because he is from ourseas, I assumed it was a scam and clicked him off twice lol )

I am just a Victor Meldrew type person nowadays on the phone

I never bother with landline anymore, Sad state of affairs when every call was spam and conmen....youd have thought the government wouldve done something about it.
Yep, another here who doesn’t bother answering the landline, they can leave a message if it’s important.
Not much better on the mobile, usually only answer if they’re in my contacts list unless I’m expecting a call .

I had the same email, saying that they would send footage of me watching porn to all my contacts. All they would have seen was this:View attachment 847396
I did have a response from my assistant secretary at the Archaeological Society saying that she had received a graphic photo of my private parts, but that turned out to be a false alarm as it was one I had sent her myself.
we've had that email loads of times, with a few variations.

Same here my phone line only goes to the PC, haven’t had a scam call for over ten years, ....just use the mobile, only let people that need it has the number.

Farm watch emailed me the other day about a parcel scam. They leave you a card saying they tried to deliver a parcel and to ring a number. This number costs hundreds of pounds a minute.

It was a very long email.

I dare say millions have a webcam and I dare say many thousands watch porn at home. There may be quite a few that have extra marital relations in view of their webcam, I don’t know.

Needless to say, I didn’t pay and, to my knowledge, nobody was sent anything.

I do wonder what all the sniggering is about though. ;)

I think you’ve got that the wrong way round Pete, more like, thousands have a webcam, and I dare say many millions watch porn at home. [emoji6]
