Another Russian General dead

Word is that there are new questions in our defence circles regarding why so many men of such rank have been killed. There is still a general - no pun intended - belief that these fellows have probably been killed as the media have suggested, through having to be at the front and pushing their troops to do the necessary.

But... a second theory is starting to gain a bit of ground, it's very difficult to substantiate without knowing more about these men and the situation on the ground. But... some people are starting to wonder if these men have not been killed in action, but by their own side, for one of two reasons.

1) That they were 'accidentally' killed by their own men's fire - meaning that the troops didn't like their insistence on going forward to inevitable death, so killed them at the first opportunity; or,

2) That they were deliberately killed by Putin-loyalists, because they voiced opposition to, or questioned what was being done, or refused to carry out things in the desired way.

Clearly either are significant, but the latter - if true - would be quite remarkable and by far the more significant.

Option 3. There are a couple or perhaps a group of rogue foreign and ukranian snipers acting in the country. Seeking out only high value targets.
Yes, we have been told they are around. But it is probable that if this were the case, it would be a major propaganda coup for the Ukrainians. 'If your generals aren't safe, do you really think you are?' and the like.

But who knows? Very, very few at the moment I would think.

All depends where the generals were shot in relation to ukranian forces. If they were shot say 4 miles plus from actual fighting then theory 2 starts to gain traction.

Reports suggest there are pro kremlin stooges following the Army to make sure they do what they are meant to do. This could mean them forcing the army to advance when not ready or safe, forcing them to bomb towns and making sure no one surrenders.

I can't see anything worse than a government lacky going around telling you how to do your job.
