Would not be a problem in China. When is the EU going to realise you cannot produce steel without carbon emissions. When they do realise then lets have a level playing field otherwise we end up flooded with rubbish chinese steel.

Perhaps it was a VERY stupid idea to tax the hell out of UK industry whilst allowing China to subsidise theirs ?

Time for politics to change .. we don't need taxes to stop the super rich burning fossil fuels in Yachts the size of the QE2.

British Steel are master of their own problem. Thinking they were being clever and would be out of the EU on March 29th they had sold off their carbon permits.

As far as I understand the EU gives them out FoC .. but decided to stop giving them to the UK.
