Sorting out a Bray steering axle, which had been run for years with no oil, or top swivel bearing, on one side.

Certainly, as soon as its out of the workshop. I need to centre and weld in the adjusting sleeve for the swivel bearings, that was torn out as well! The pin was chewed up and bent, has been built up and turned back to standard.
Thing has many non standard threads, which is complicating the job no end!

That brings back a memory of working for a contractor 30 odd years ago
Used one for buck raking and one winter as he liked making modifications it was cut in half to make it pivot steer with bits off a old 3c
Dipper rams for steering , spool block for steering, spool block for loader and a 3c front loader grafted on front
Then a perkins 6 cylinder stuck in for more power and terra tyres for travelling up clamp
It could shift grass but was different to drive. Shifted on low loader which it tried to climb off one day when it rocked and started itself !
Fun days !
