Any firewood processors for sale

One thing I don't like on our palax is the electric controls. Forestry and electrics don't mix well and the ECU has packed in twice. Posch would be good kit but sit down before asking the price.

Come for a demo and bring your own wood

you would be surprised fresh oak / hard woods are no bother
Its when it dries up you have to lessen the diameter
Are there any "branch crushers", many of my customers are looking to rent one but i'm having a hard time finding decent one.

Do you blow it up with your tank?
No... I use old robroy sawbench dating from the early 60's which I paid £50 in 2000 , over the years I have spent £130 overhauling engine and injector pump and renewing shaft bearings. Also I have cut a lot of hedging stakes
The engine talks to me it does not like low sulphur diesel , with a small amount of universal 2 stroke oil in fuel it's very happy. It doesn't like multigrade oil , starts and runs better on Fuchs HDX30 with oil level just above min mark

Sounds a good tool

If the wood is less than 10 inches or less I'd go for circular saw over the chainsaw type. Put hundreds of loads through without sharpening and when it did need to be done it was only thirty quid. Sharpening chainsaw chains every day soon gets tiresome

I will be selling a few.
Go for a circular saw one miles l as sawdust as well as the other above issues with sharpening bent blades oil running out forgetting to fill etc . Try a get one with a retractable stop so once the length of wood hits it and the cutting begins it moves away from the end of the log . This makes the log drop into the splitting chamber better . If you can get hydraulic control one as you’ll soon get sick of pulling the lever down. Jas P wilson usually has some decent stock in . I used to deal with Caledonian Forestry but they’ve packed in .

Powell’s apparently.
They’ve got a 100 power s in the same as mine if it’s with in your budget go for it take just about anything in a processor friendly load . To run it on a tractor just need a small gear box and about 1/2 work to swop it around.
