Any one done “Flea beetle favourite crop trials side by side?

As some farmers are growing companion crops with OSR to try and distract CFSB from attacking OSR seedlings, I would like to know if any trials have been done,as per thread title.

I'm not aware of any major trials work but am sure some are being done.

The problem with distraction trials is that a small area may work but if all the available rape around was using the distraction the flea beetle would not have a choice so go for the rape any way
The solution is seed dressing or bt insect variety or another form of plant resistance
But because of regulatory hurdle the risk of developing a variety for the Eu or uk and it getting banned is too high
The only solution as a farmer is grow a different crop because doing the same and expecting a different out come is a sign of. ....
