I hardly do any miles at the moment. The van could do with filling up, but it’s not urgent yet. I could also do with a couple of jerrycans filling for the quad, but again not too desperate yet. I might be forced to venture out and face the world middle of next week.
Careful , it's a dangerous place , no mans land .

Seen no queues , no empty stations , more remainer bollox
Stafford services been out for a couple of days last week, plus some garages around Stoke.

We've not been too bad, Mrs got some before it all kicked off and managed to land on one mid week to top up as she's a mobile carer. Car wise I had half a tank which is 2 week driving to work for me, but managed to top up both cars this morning at Tesco with no queuing. Work wise, we've had regular updates from the office on who's got what and not got any and my truck only needs 2 fills a week so managed one at Runcorn on Tuesday but they'd ran out on Thursday so got some at Charnock Richard on my way to Darwen, then topped it up Friday afternoon at Goole ready for next week.

From what I saw and heard there was quite a bit of queuing on major routes and in the cities but you were better finding the ones off the beaten track

The government doesn't control petrol prices (apart from through the taxes) fuel retailers do. If retailers raised prices temporarily where there are shortages they would reduce the demand.

The government isn't omnipotent, in the last 30 years the terrible idea that the government is the cause and solution to everything has grown like a cancer.

Totally agree. Particularly as we are supposed to be in a free market economy. The 'Karens' saying the government needs to do something, whenever something goes wrong BMP TBH
